TRANSICTION TO UNI CEI EN ISO_IEC 17025-2018 – DECISION RULE

The Laboratory embraced the transition to the International Regulation (New edition implemented by UNI in February 2018) related to the accreditation of test laboratories.

Among the new requirements, the Laboratory must define and agree with the Customer the decisional rule that describes how any measurement uncertainty is accounted for, when stating conformity with a specific requirement.

The current Legislation, evidenced below, requires that measurement uncertainty is subtracted from the result:

–        for Pesticides (SANTE/11813/2017)

–        for OGM Reg. UE 619/2011;

–        for Nitrates in food Reg. (CE) n. 1882/2006

–        for lead, cadmium, mercury and inorganic tin Reg (CE) n.333/2007

–        for Toxins contained in foods of plant origin Reg. (CE) n. 401/2006 and Reg. (UE) 252/2012 and the Reg. (CE) n.836/2011 as integration.

In the absence of rules, regulations or customer instructions, in case that, due to uncertainty, the conformity of the result is not unequivocal, laboratory has decided to issue related conformity judgments, based on the result of the test, not considering the measurement uncertainty, but the direct comparison of the result obtained with the reference value.
